Greetings, friends!  I thought I would take a moment to share with you about an exciting opportunity I recently had.

As you may know, I have been serving the Lord as an on-air host at Kinship Christian Radio for nearly 18 years. For the past few years, I have been praying for opportunities to expand my reach in that field.  The first such opportunity to do so came in a way I did not expect.  The Lord sent me on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic! 

A friend of mine who also serves at Kinship Christian Radio presented me with an opportunity to travel to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to offer my experience and expertise to an upstart radio station there called Radio Bendición Digital (Blessings Digital Radio.) Right now, this station broadcasts exclusively over the internet, but it is quickly growing in popularity and currently poised for expansion in the very near future. Radio Bendición Digital asked for assistance as they prepare for what the Lord is asking them to do, and we answered the call to provide them with guidance. 

From February 16 to February 21, I and two of my co-laborers from Kinship Christian Radio traveled to the Dominican Republic to meet with the staff at Radio Bendición Digital to share our own experiences in Christian radio and to assist them as best we can to help them in their mission.  (An interesting side note about their ministry - Radio Bendición Digital not only broadcasts in Spanish, but also broadcasts short programs in English. I have been told that a door may be open for me personally to develop a short radio program for them to broadcast.) 

While the individuals who went on this trip are all affiliated with Kinship Christian Radio in some way, this was NOT a Kinship Christian Radio sponsored trip.  We each volunteered our time to go and raised our own support to do so.  Much of the money was raised to make this trip possible, but more is needed.
